In our pathology laboratory, detailed examinations of cervicovaginal smears, fine needle aspirations, tru-cut biopsies, small biopsies, excisional biopsies and operation materials are performed under the guidance of US or CT if necessary.
It is recommended that further staining studies such as histochemical and immunohistochemical studies be performed for our patients, if necessary, in the examination of biopsy and operation materials, especially in tumor cases.
In addition, if our surgeons request, frozen section study can be performed intraoperatively to diagnose within 15-30 minutes during the operation.
